Business Administrator Vacancy – January 2021

We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated applicants who can demonstrate the ability to use their own initiative and a commitment to teamwork to join us as a Business Administrator!

The post-holder will be responsible for the provision of office, administration, HR and finance support for the organisation.  To achieve this, the post requires candidates who are proficient in using Microsoft Word and Excel.  In addition, previous experience of using SAGE, or a similar accounting package, would be advantageous.

Festive opening hours and support services

The Carers Centre staff team has been working from home providing support to local carers by telephone, email and online since March.  The service will close from Friday 25 December 2020 until Monday 4 January 2021 (inclusive), re-opening on Tuesday 5 January 2021.  Details of local support and emergency services are available below:

12 Days of Christmas Raffle! 🎄

Instead of our usual Christmas Carers Lunch, this year we are going to run 12 Days of Christmas Raffle with 12 prizes being given out daily from 1 December.

This is free to enter! All carers have to do is register by phone or email us, making sure to include their contact telephone number.

Prizes include: gift vouchers for local businesse and local experiences!

Care with Confidence Falkirk Programme – November to December 2020

Mask exemption card for carers

The Scottish Government has produced a face covering exemption card, to support those who are unable to wear one to feel more confident and safe when accessing public spaces and using public services.

The face covering exemption card is branded with the Healthier Scotland and NHS Scotland logos under the FACTS for a Safer Scotland campaign.

A physical card can be requested from Disability Equality Scotland to wear on a lanyard or hold in a wallet, while a digital card is also available to be displayed on a phone, tablet or other device.

Physical and digital cards are available to request online from 29 October at www.exempt.scot or via a free helpline on 0800 121 6240.

Power of Attorney Zoom sessions – October to December 2020

Are you interested in finding out more about Power of Attorney and how this could help you in your caring role? Information sessions will be taking place on Zoom for carers in both Clackmannanshire and Falkirk from this month until December.

CAMHS Autism Spectrum Disorder Information Sessions

The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), working with Falkirk & Clackmannanshire Carers Centre, is offering information sessions and workshops for parents/ grandparents /carers of school aged children who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

These sessions are open to those who have received a diagnosis for their child and have not accessed the CAMHS Parents Group or an Early Bird programme in the past. To get the most from this course, it is recommended that you attend all 6 sessions.

Sessions will take place bettern 5.30 pm and 7.30 pm. The programme overview is:
