Care with Confidence

For the first time, Falkirk & Clackmannanshire Carers Centre will offer the adult Seasons for Growth programme which aims to build resilience and bring hope and confidence to carers who have experienced significant change or loss.

Grief may be due to any number of experiences including bereavement, relationship breakdown, caring or experiencing ill health. It may be a recent loss, or something that happened a long time ago.

What would you do if the person you care for lost the capacity to make decisions on their own?

Come along to find out about:

  • Incapacity and how this could impact on your caring responsibilities
  • How being granted Power of Attorney could help you in your caring role
  • Applying for Legal Aid to cover or subsidise any associated costs

The Carers Centre in Falkirk is running a new programme, What Carers Need to Know, starting on Thursday 8 February to 8 March 2018 from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm in Denny Library.

What Carers Need to Know is a 5 week programme designed to give carers essential information to develop confidence in their caring role.

Frontotemporal Dementia Carer Information

The Frontotemporal Dementia Carer sessions are open to carers of people with a confirmed diagnosis of Frontotemporal Dementia.

The monthly sessions provide information and support to carers in an informal setting. Professionals are also invited on a regular basis to talk about the clinical, social and legal aspects of care.
